UPDATE Dec. 5, 4 p.m. | California wildfires: Our Animal Rescue Team has been on the ground in Butte County, California caring for evacuated, rescued and displaced animals in the wake of the Camp Fire. At the request of Butte County Animal Services, we have agreed to extend our stay to continue running a temporary shelter in Richvale for more than 300 pets whose families have been impacted by the wildfires.
Our Emergency Animal Rescue Fund exists to help in these situations. Your support is needed to help those in California or wherever animals are in crisis.
We never know when disasters will strike or when animals may be in need of urgent rescue, but we know we must be ready. Your support makes our preparedness, rescue, care and relief work possible.
From moving animals out of harm’s way before a hurricane, to rescuing the victims of a case of extreme cruelty, to supplying emergency funding to a local shelter for temporary air conditioners, to providing 40 tons of hay to feed horses left hungry by wildfires, to search, rescue, transport and emergency sheltering efforts after tragic storms—we're only able to offer relief for animals because of supporters like you.
Please support rescue and relief efforts by donating to our Emergency Animal Rescue Fund using our secure form. Your gift today will ensure that our team can continue to answer the call during times of emergency wherever and whenever animals need us. (Find out more about how your donation will be used.) Thank you for your contribution to these lifesaving efforts.
Want to make a larger impact? The Humane Society of the United States fights for all animals, all year long—but our work would not be possible without regular monthly gifts from generous supporters like you. Let your gift go where it’s needed the most by becoming a monthly supporter today!
